It’s been a while since my last wedding related post and as I write this there’s only a few days to go! The reason this is so late is due to my hectic work life of late, specifically my role as Costume Designer and Supervisor for Cork Opera House’s summer musical “Singin’ in the Rain”. So the last couple of months have given me very little time to think about the wedding, which many people have said is a good thing as it meant I wasn’t able to fuss or obsess over details.
The details however are always my favourite. Whether in my work as a Costumier, Stylist, or what I wear myself, I really do love and appreciate the beauty of detail. As I bride, creating a wedding that is personal and thoughtful in its details was always very important to me whether or not other people notice!
Since the start of the planning I have slowly built up a few hundred pins on Pinterest full of the little things that have inspired me. It started out quite random but gradually narrowed down to specific details that became the look and theme for the wedding. I’m looking forward to heading down there now though and setting up, adding our own personal touches and enjoying the creative process as with any project!
So with several things left to do I will leave you with some of my favourite inspirational images from my “Wedding Ideas” board (which I kept secret!)
Next post after the wedding (and honeymoon in Japan!) Can’t wait and fingers crossed for some sun now!
